Guidance for Guest at Mimosa Bay Pool

The Mimosa Bay Board of Directors would like to address the concern regarding guest at the pool during Phase 2 Restrictions.

Each homeowner or tenant needs to complete a waiver prior to coming to the pool.  The waiver lists the names and number of people covered under your household waiver.  Family, friends and caregivers staying at your residence can be added to the waiver by the homeowner.

The intention behind the guidance of allowing residents only during this time was not to prohibit any resident’s house guest from coming to the pool.  The intention was to ensure maximum capacity available for HOA Members and their families by limiting outside guest.  This guidance was not intended to limit those within your home.  We encourage everyone to practice good judgement and be considerate of your neighbors in regards to the use of the pool during this time.  Outside guest, not guest staying within the HOA Member’s home, will further limit the availability of this amenity for HOA members.

Residents can self monitor this issue and encourage each other to follow this guidance to create maximum availability for this amenity.  Please ensure that the number of residence/house guest entering the pool are listed on or added to the waiver on file by the homeowner.  The amount of people listed on the waiver should equal the amount of people staying within your home at the moment.  If your current number does not match the waiver, the homeowner will be asked to add the additional individuals to the waiver before entering the pool.  The number on the signed waiver equals the number of people permitted in the pool for that address.

We also ask that everyone please self-monitor pool bather capacity while you are at the pool.  The required logs have shown multiple times where we have exceeded the max capacity for pool bathers.

The HOA Board of Directors would also like to request 4-5 volunteers of varied demographics (family with  young kids/no kids/does not use the pool/stays at home/works full time) to help provide input in regards to pool operations for the remainder of the season.

Phase 2 has been extended until 11 September and the HOA Board would like to partner with community volunteers in developing a plan forward that takes into consideration the state/local/insurance requirements and the added unplanned expense.  Please email mimosabayhoa@gmail.com if you would like to be a part of this discussion.
