Good Morning,

Opening day at the pool was a success! Thank you to everyone for your positivity and willingness to be flexible. This is uncharted territory for all of us.
The HOA Board of Directors wanted to address a few questions that have come up regarding cost and other details.
Pool Attendant Cost
The pool attendant is there to monitor  capacity in the pool area and in the water. This is necessary because this limits liabilities, reduce legal risk, ensures adherence to state and local mandates, AND is a requirement for our community insurance coverages. The pool attendant is from certified/licensed cleaning company so they are able to deep clean and sanitize the bathrooms and shared surface areas. The reason for contracting this position through a licensed/certified company is to limit our liabilities. The company is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and background checks of the attendant.
$38.33 x 2 Bathrooms Cleaned 2x each day and Sanitation Cleaning of Surface Areas
$9. 55 per hour for Attendant Duties
The area average cost for pool attendant for the area was $10-$15 per hour.
Total = $153 per day
The pool bathrooms are typically scheduled to be cleaned weekly during a regular pool season. At this time, they are being cleaned each day the pool is open.
Pool Hours
The HOA BOD realizes that the current schedule for the pool may not accommodate every schedule. The current hours were selected based on attendant/cleaning availability and the reduced open days are based on cost consideration and ensuring pool opening on high traffic days.
In case of inclement weather, the pool will close when the weather begins and will not reopen until the next scheduled day. If there is inclement weather prior to the scheduled opening, the pool may possibly open at a later time once the weather has passed and no additional weather concerns are forecasted for the day.
Pool Entry and Rules
Come to the gate and tell the pool attendant your address and number of people. The pool attendant will open the gate for you to enter the pool area after they have confirmed your waiver and number of people. If you have not completed a waiver, you can complete one at the gate. Please do not enter the pool area until the attendant has checked you in.
The attendant is not there to manage the line at the gate. This is on individual homeowners to manage themselves and be good neighbors. The pool entry is first come, first serve and there is no holding space for someone who is not there.
The pool attendant is not there to enforce the rules of the pool. This task is on each individual homeowner. Please be courtesy of your fellow neighbors and abide by the guidelines posted at the gate and listed on your signed waiver.
Happy Swimming!
